A new oribatid mite of the Damaeidae family, Damaeus gevi n. sp., from a cave in southern Spain, is described in the latest edition of the "Revista ibérica de Aracnología".It is characterized by its long legs and by the remains of other dead oribatid mites adhered on its nymphal exuviae.
Microzetes mirandus (Berlese, 1908) is among these adhered oribatid, being its first record for Spain.
