Take a Tour Through the World’s Biggest Cave Passage

Working as a National Geographic photographer is (thankfully) more than just panther attacks and paraglider crashes. Sometimes you get to explore the underground equivalent of "a previously undiscovered Mount Everest" like photographer Carsten Peter.

In this video, Peterson walks us through the Son Doong cave, believed to be the world's largest natural subterranean passageway. It's 2.5-mile length includes a main chamber three times the height of the Niagra Falls as well as its own jungle microcosm. Peterson's shots and descriptions of the massive cavern are simply breathtaking.
