Ever have a notion to explore a cave, like one of the more than 3,400 known caves in Indiana -- many of them in the state's southern half?
Dave Tibbets and Joy Baiz, who are local and experienced cave explorers, will talk Saturday about how caves are formed, cave exploration, cave life, cartography and other topics about the subterranean world.
The talk will begin at 2 p.m. at the Elkhart Environmental Center, 1717 E. Lusher Ave., a half mile east of Main Street. Admission is free, but small donations to the Indiana Karst Conservancy are welcome. Registration is requested at 574-293-5070.
